There are so many resources available from the IDOE regarding the content on Math 3-8 ILEARN, but what about our instruction? How do we change our instruction to meet the demand placed on students with ILEARN? In this workshop, we will explore best practices in math instruction and lesson planning to create ILEARN lessons to best prepare our students.

Learning intentions for the day:

  • Explore DOK and the 3 levels of learning: surface, deep and transfer learning
  • Examine collaboration structures in the math classroom
  • Delve into questioning strategies that promote problem solving and critical thinking   in students so students can share their thinking on ILEARN performance tasks
Special Instructions:

NOTE: Participants need to bring a device and access to their textbook (either online or hard copy).
