Description:

This training is created for those who have basic knowledge and understanding of the impact of ACEs on learning and behavior and are familiar with the foundational principles of a trauma-informed perspective.

Target Audience:

K-12 teachers, paraprofessionals, special education teachers, special area teachers, administrators, social workers, and school counselors.

Strategies:

Participants will leave with the following:

  • Concrete ways to integrate trauma-informed strategies through a school-wide, multi-tiered approach
  • Strategies to address social and emotional learning, self-regulation, relationship building, and cognitive problem solving
  • The practices introduced are meant to meet the needs of all students and to aid educational staff in cr3eating an environment that embraces the values of trauma-informed care: safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.
